A 21-year-old suspect was reportedly motivated by his failure to graduate from arts and technology school and other factors  A weekend knife attack at a vocational school in Jiangsu, eastern China left 8 people dead and 17 injured, according to police reports. The attack took place at the Wuxi Vocational Institute of Arts and Technology in the city of Yixing on Saturday evening, police said. The suspect in the attack, a 21-year-old identified only as Xu, was motivated by anger due to his failure to pass exams and earn a diploma from the institute, as well as dissatisfaction with internship compensation, according to local police, who have detained Xu. NIGERIA  The Houthi government in Yemen has confirmed its involvement in the ongoing  Israel-Palestine conflict. NIGERIA   The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has banned its officials from carrying out sting operations at night. EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale confirmed this in a statement late Wednesday night and said it is in line with the newly-reviewed procedures on arrest and bail of suspects by the commission. “The Executive Chairman of the Commission, Mr. Ola Olukoyede, has directed that sting operations at night time be stopped in all the commands of the EFCC,” Oyewale stated.
