Yemen Joins Gaza Conflict As They Stand With The Palestinians

NIGERIA  The Houthi government in Yemen has confirmed its involvement in the ongoing  Israel-Palestine conflict. On Tuesday, the Houthi's launched drones and missiles against Israel, as they pledge to continue doing so. ‘Our Armed Forces launched a large batch of ballistic and cruise missiles and a large number of drones at various targets of the Israeli enemy in the occupied territories,’ said Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, adding that the most recent launch was ‘the third operation in support of our oppressed brethren in Palestine.’ Saree continued that Yemen joined the campaign in Gaza ‘out of a sense of religious, moral, humanitarian and national responsibility,’ and added that the military ‘will continue to carry out more qualitative strikes with missiles and drones until the Israeli aggression stops.’ 🖊 M uhammad Isah Ramat Ramat Unlimited  Thursday, 2nd November 2023.

EFCC Bans Sting Operations At Night

NIGERIA   The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has banned its officials from carrying out sting operations at night. EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale confirmed this in a statement late Wednesday night and said it is in line with the newly-reviewed procedures on arrest and bail of suspects by the commission. “The Executive Chairman of the Commission, Mr. Ola Olukoyede, has directed that sting operations at night time be stopped in all the commands of the EFCC,” Oyewale stated. UNRWA Chief Visits Gaza, Describes Situation As ‘Unprecedented’.

NIGERIA  The commissioner-general of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) said Wednesday that the situation in Gaza is "unprecedented" as he made his first visit to the Palestinian enclave since the start of Israel’s war against Hamas. "This is the first time I have been allowed in since the beginning of this horrific war, almost four weeks ago...The scale of the tragedy is unprecedented," a statement by UNRWA quoted Philippe Lazzarini as saying. Lazzarini visited an UNRWA-run school in Rafah, south of Gaza, being used as a shelter for Palestinians, which he described as overcrowded. "The levels of distress and the unsanitary living conditions were beyond comprehension. Everyone was just asking for water and food,” he said.
