10 Student Of Kuramo Senior College In Lekki Drowned At A Lagos Beach

The spokesperson for the Elegushi Beach Management, Chief Ayuba Elegushi, in a statement  released on Tuesday, said the pupils were not properly registered when they arrive at the beach, and that the incident happened at a section of the beach which is not open to the public.


He added that “We initially sent them away from the area of the beach they wanted to swim in. Then, they went to another place that was not for the public at all.


It was also gathered that It was the son of the of beach Manager named 'Abass, who took the pupils from school to the beach.


However the beach Management added that the students did not pay any gate fee to access the beach, and Abass used the leverage that he was the son of the beach manager and took the students through another area of the beach were they drowned.

 

Thestudent's who were ten (10) in number are said to be students of Kuramo Senior College in Lekki, Lagos state, and went to beach to celebrate the completion of their Senior Secondary  Certificate Exams (WAEC).
