Zamfara Police Command Rescues 2 Kidnapped Female Victims

Operatives of the Zamfara State Police Command have on Sartuday, 20th August 2022 rescued  two (2) female hostages namely: Ubaida Hassan, a 12yrs old and Umaima Jamilu a 10yrs old  of Gidan Liman village in Kekun Waje district of Bungudu LGA of Zamfara state.

while on confidence building patrol along Nya Mango in Bungudu LGA, the Police officers acted on intelligence report that led to the unconditional rescue of the victims.

The victims who were rescued unhurt were abducted by armed bandit/terrorists on 15th July, 2022 following attack on their village. Victims were medically checked at General Hospital Bungudu, thereafter, debriefed by the Police and handed over to their families. 

The Command while reassuring the public of its commitment to the protection of lives and property, congratulates the victims for regaining their freedom, and further urges all and sundry to be security conscious and report suspicious characters to the Police or any security Agency for prompt action.
