Iran Distant Self From Rushdie Stabbing Though Justified It.

An Iranian government official had denied that the country was involved in the assault on Salman Rushdie, though he justified the stabbing.

According to him, "Rushdie exposed himself to popular anger and fury through insulting the sacredness of Islam".

In an emotional ceremony held last evening in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Abdul Wahab bin Zain Al-Abidin Al-Shaibi has been inaugurated as the new guardian of the Holy Ka’bah, following the demise of Sheikh Saleh Al Shaiba.  Sheikh Abdul Wahab, who is 78 years old, is the 110th successor of Uthman bin Talha, a revered companion of the Prophet Muhammad (May Allah be pleased with him).
